An intimately composed landscape estimated 1904-1905. Good condition: there are some cracks in the painted layer and some minute specks of paint have come off. Exquisitely set in a relatively modern frame. Size is 9.8 x 14.4 inches (25 x 36,5 cm); 18.8 x 22 inches (47,8 x 55,8 cm) with the frame. Signed below right.

Paul Sérusier (9 November 1864 – 7 October 1927) was a French painter who was a pioneer of abstract art and an inspiration for the avant-garde Nabis movement, Synthetism and Cloisonnism.
